In Tadoba National Park, there are several safari gates from which visitors can enter for wildlife sightings. These gates include 6 gates from the core zone and 12 gates from the buffer zone.
Gates of Tadoba National Park
The core zone is a protected area where the natural resources and wildlife are highly conserved. In this area human activity is minimal. Core zone gates are Moharli Gate, Kolara Gate, Navegaon Gate, Pangdi Gate, Zari Gate and Khutwanda Gate.
The buffer zone, on the other hand, is the area which is surrounding the core zone. Conservation efforts take place in this area but limited human activity is allowed here. Buffer zone gates are Agarzari, Adegaon Dewada, Junona, Kolara, Ramdegi-Navegaon, Alizanza, Madnapur, Mamla, Pangdi, Sirkada, Zari/Peth, Kessalghat, Chora Chinchola and Nimdela – Ramdegi.
Zones of Tadoba National Park
There are four zones in Tadoba National Park that can be accessed through different gates.
1. Moharli Zone: For a safari ride in this zone you can enter through the Moharli and Khutwanda gates of the Core zone and the Devada, Adegao, Agarzari, Junona & Mamla gates of the Buffer zone.
2. Kolara Zone: To enter this zone you have to book the safari from the Kolara gate of the core zone. You can also enter this zone from Alizanza, Madnapur, Sirkada, Kolara Chauradeo, Palasgaon, and Belara gates of the Buffer zone.
3. Navegaon Zone: This zone can be accessed through the Navegaon gate of the core zone. Buffer zone gates to enter this zone are Navegaon Ramdegi & Nimdela gate.
4. Pangadi and Zari zone: 2 core gates have been made to enter this zone, Pangadi & Zari Gate. You can also book a safari from Pangadi Aswal Chuha, Keslaghat & Zari Peth gate of the buffer zone.
