Hey there, adventure seekers! I got a few days off and wondered how to make them unforgettable. Then a friend told me about the safari ride in Tadoba National Park. Trust me, this place is amazing and it has got something for everyone. If you’re an adventure enthusiast like me then you should definitely go on a gypsy safari in Tadoba National Park. Let me tell you about my experience in Tadoba National Park.
Basic Details
When I was told about this park, I didn’t know anything. My friend told me a little about it, but I won’t be like him. I had to search everything about this park myself and no one was there to help me. But don’t worry, I have got all the necessary information for you
1. This park is in Maharashtra and it’s a tiger reserve. You can come here and enjoy sightings of wild animals such as tigers, sloth bears, leopards, chitals, chinkara, langurs, nilgai, barking deer, blue bull, and many more.
2. People can enjoy a gypsy or canter safari ride here. Gypsy is a gypsy in which 6 people can go whereas Canter is like a small bus in which 18 passengers can go.
3. You can choose the safari according to your pocket allowance. Gypsy safari is better but a little costly whereas Canter safari is good for large groups and is budget-friendly.
4. You cannot go inside the park in your vehicle, you have to take one safari (Gypsy or Canter). These safaris are permitted by forest authorities to go inside the jungle and the drivers are trained on routes. Guides will also be there inside the safari for safety reasons. They are well aware of the park’s flora and fauna.
5. This park does not allow tourism all around the year, you can only come here from October to June.
5. If you want to enjoy a ride in rainy months, then it’s not possible.
6. You can book your safari rides from Tadoba Safari Booking or you can also just simply book a whole Tour Package to spend a nice holiday at this place.
7. Many resorts and hotels can be found near this park.
8. Apart from safaris, people can spend their time by visiting nearby sighting areas.
9. Several zones and gates are there inside the park, Moharli is the best one.
10. If you’re going in winter then packing a light jacket is a must and if you’re going in summer then a bottle filled with water is necessary.
All in all, it’s a nice place to visit. People who go there can enjoy sightings of wild animals, can see beautiful birds, and flowering plants. They can stay in nice resorts and hotels and can visit nearby areas for sightseeing. It’s a perfect place for a short holiday.
My Experience At Tadoba National Park
I visited this place for 3 days and trust me I have had a great time there. Before going there, I researched a lot and because of that, my experience was very nice. I booked a whole tour package and not just a safari. I was there with 3 other friends and we enjoyed a lot.
On the first day,
After reaching the airport our travel assistant was there to pick us up because we told in advance that we wanted a pickup facility. Trust me, this facility is very important for a nice experience, however, they charged extra for it, but it’s worth it. Then, we reached our pre-booked resort and completed the check-in formalities. Then we had a delicious lunch which had a local taste of that place. We were very tired and not ready for the safari, so we relaxed for some time in our comfy rooms and then visited the nearby village to learn about their culture and traditions. After a friendly chit-chat, we came back to our resort and had a delicious dinner before a relaxing night.
On the second day,
We got up early morning as we had a morning drive inside the park. Our tour assistant picked us up on a gypsy and we reached the park. There we had to show our permits to go inside. After the formalities, our gypsy driver took us inside the core zone of this wild park. There, the guide told us about animals as we were spotting them, he told us about the flora and also the bird species. We were lucky, as we spotted Choti Tara inside the park. She is a famous tigress of this park. We also spotted some birds along with beautiful deer. We gained a lot of knowledge about the park’s inhabitants because of our guide and our gypsy was amazing. We went there in winter, and it was a morning ride so we kept lightweight jackets and mufflers.
After coming back, we had lunch and then we rested for some time as we had to get ready to visit Erai Lake. We reached the Irai Lake which was close to our resort and then hopped in our boat to experience a different sighting experience. Our ride was scenic and we spotted lots of Avian species. After that, we came back to our resort and had dinner.
Now, the third day,
Was the last day of our trip. We woke up early morning to visit the park for another ride. This ride was super amazing and it happened in a different zone of the park. We listened to the melodious sounds of birds and also saw the scenic landscape of the jungle. We were able to spot an elusive leopard and also sloth bears inside the forest. After this ride, we went back to our resort and had a delicious breakfast. Then we checked out and came back to our homes with nice memories.
It was a great trip and we booked it from Tadoba Tour Packages. They have different tour packages and people can choose any one. They offer nice packages and full comfort during the trip and also we had a great experience. They can even change or add some things to their packages on request from guests.
